Digging a little deeper into English with Kirsten

In series 1 I focused on interviewing people who had transformed their English skills and their careers in the mining industry at the same time.

I set out to find out what made them successful. The people I felt had truly embraced the language learning journey and had seen the career benefits from doing it.

I wanted to let these people share with you what they experienced. And more importantly, how they did it. Do listen to these stories if you haven't already.

But in Series 2, I want to move on to exploring the language you need to use as a professional in the industry.

Each episode explores the words and expressions you need to understand and use at work. From safety and risk to technical, operational and business language.

Listen to the episode, check the transcript and vocabulary list, then answer the questions at the end to practise using the language yourself.

The podcast began with conversations with professionals who used English to change their careers. Those interviews are still available in Series 1.

Whatever you take away from the podcast, I hope it inspires you to keep going, to keep digging deeper into English.
